New Zealand fast bowler Lockie Ferguson has praised the inclusion of 15-year-old batting prospect Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in India's squad for their upcoming five-match T20I series. Ferguson, who encountered the teenager during his time in the Indian Premier League, noted that the selection was expected given the young player's consistent performance in the competition.
The tour, which begins on October 22, will also include two Test matches and five ODIs. Ferguson is slated to rejoin the New Zealand ODI squad for the final two matches of that series, marking his first appearance in the format since the 2023 World Cup semifinal.
Additionally, the veteran bowler mentioned that Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh is anticipating the favorable swing and bounce conditions expected in New Zealand.
