Fast bowler Mohammed Shami continued his stellar momentum by claiming four wickets for Bengal during their opening Ranji Trophy fixture against Delhi on Sunday. His tight spell of four for thirty restricted the opposition to a total of 270 runs, with his victims comprising Yash Dhull, Ayush Doseja, Hrithik Shokeen, and Divij Mehra.
This strong start builds upon his previous red-ball success in the Duleep Trophy, where he secured seven scalps across his matches on the path to capturing a second championship title. During the prior domestic red-ball calendar, he amassed 37 dismissals alongside a best bowling innings performance of 8 for 90.
Furthermore, his prolific run last season featured 25 scalps in the Vijay Hazare Trophy complemented by 16 dismissals in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament.
