"My job is not to make everyone happy": Gautam Gambhir's blunt message on team selection

Ahead of the final match against New Zealand, India national team leader Gautam Gambhir addressed public scrutiny regarding roster choices. The coach stated that his priority is making correct decisions rather than attempting to satisfy everyone outside the locker room.

He also emphasized maintaining player security and backing consistent performers over long periods. Discussing the squad's 3-1 advantage in the series, the manager dismissed any notion of laziness, noting that every international fixture offers a chance to learn and evolve.

Additionally, he commended the squad for rapidly adapting to local conditions despite a tight travel schedule.
