'I just went into the red and that was it' – Tom Pidcock pays for following Paul Seixas' race-winning move in Il Lombardia

Tom Pidcock finished in sixth place at Il Lombardia after struggling to maintain the pace set by race winner Paul Seixas on the Civiglio climb. While Pidcock briefly held onto the leader's wheel, he eventually faded as Enric Mas and Giulio Ciccone moved ahead to secure their spots on the podium.

The British rider noted that his unfamiliarity with the course and the intensity of the effort contributed to his result. Despite missing the top three, Pidcock expressed satisfaction with his autumn performance and now looks toward the Tour of Guangxi to conclude his season.

Other notable riders, including Remco Evenepoel, Isaac del Toro, and Brandon McNulty, were unable to match the decisive move that defined the race finale.
