Ten-player Brighton win at Sunderland to stay third

Brighton maintained their third-place standing in the Premier League after securing a 2-0 victory away at Sunderland. Despite Pascal Struijk receiving a red card near the hour mark, the visitors extended their winning streak to three matches without conceding a goal.

Maxim De Cuyper opened the scoring early in the second half, and Jaouen Hadjam added a second goal during stoppage time. Pascal Gross facilitated the first goal, marking a notable milestone for the midfielder by assisting in three consecutive top-flight appearances.

Fabian Hurzeler maintained his starting lineup following their previous win against Arsenal, while Sunderland made adjustments by introducing Trai Hume, Reinildo, and Wilson Isidor.
