Former international batter Mohammad Yousuf has publicly recommended that Babar Azam take a break from domestic red-ball matches to correct lingering flaws in his batting mechanics. Yousuf suggested that the thirty-two-year-old athlete should attend a specialized training facility located in England or Australia rather than risk damaging his self-belief through poor performances locally.
This recommendation follows a recent dip in output across multiple formats since the year twenty twenty-four, including a thirty-four-run contribution against England and a subsequent dismissal without scoring in a tri-series final against Sri Lanka.
Babar had earlier re-entered domestic red-ball competition during September to maintain his readiness, joining up with OGDCL in the President's Trophy after a seven-year absence from the format. Yousuf noted that he had previously offered identical counsel four years prior without receiving any response from authorities, urging administrators to act immediately this time to help Pakistan's premier batsman recover his peak form.
