UEFA announce match officials for key clash between Barcelona and Aston Villa

Following a difficult couple of setbacks against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, Barcelona bounced back by scoring six past Deportivo Alaves, though greater challenges loom ahead in the UEFA Champions League. The club prepares to host Aston Villa at the Spotify Camp Nou this week, with European organizers confirming the match officials for the fixture.

Italian referee Davide Massa has been assigned as the main official on the pitch, having previously overseen a 2-1 victory for the Spanish side against Eintracht Frankfurt. Meanwhile, German official Bastian Dankert, who previously handled duties for a Champions League final and a World Cup final, will serve as the video assistant referee for the upcoming contest.
