'Complacency from boys': Zimbabwe captain takes aim at teammates after series loss

Zimbabwe skipper Sikandar Raza expressed deep frustration following a 19-run loss to Afghanistan in Sharjah, which secured a series victory for the opposition. Raza criticized his squad for a lack of focus after they initially restricted their opponents to 5 runs for 4 wickets, noting that some players prematurely assumed the total would remain low.

Despite a remarkable 116-run performance from Azmatullah Omarzai and a 52-run contribution from Ijaz Ahmad Ahmadzai that propelled Afghanistan to a 221-run total, Raza nearly pulled off a comeback with his own unbeaten 106. The captain stated he intends to hold a private discussion with his team to address the mental lapses that allowed the game to slip away.
