English opening batsman Zak Crawley has agreed to a one-year deal with the Perth Scorchers for the upcoming Big Bash League campaign. He steps in as a direct roster substitution for Finn Allen, who departed to join the Melbourne Stars.
Scorchers general manager Kade Harvey and Crawley both expressed enthusiasm for the reunion, pointing back to the batter's previous stint with the franchise during the thirteenth edition of the tournament. Crawley is scheduled to link up with fellow top-order teammates Mitchell Marsh, Cooper Connolly, and Aaron Hardie at Optus Stadium.
