Worst run for 42 years but Carrick not expecting Man Utd sack before Roma

Manchester United manager Michael Carrick anticipates retaining his position ahead of the upcoming European fixture against Roma, despite his squad suffering a two-goal defeat at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea. The latest setback marked a nine-match winless stretch across all competitions, representing the club's longest drought without a victory in forty-two years and leaving the team hovering dangerously near the relegation zone.

During the match, Lisandro Martinez conceded a penalty before receiving a red card, compounding an earlier defensive error that allowed Morgan Rogers to open the scoring for Chelsea. Although supporters voiced some frustration at the final whistle, Carrick acknowledged the loyalty of the traveling fanbase and expressed confidence in preparing his players for the midweek Champions League encounter at home.
