Enes Kanter was barred from entering State Farm Arena for Game 3 of the WNBA Finals between the Dream and Valkyries. Despite the Dream and the venue providing a complimentary private luxury suite due to Kanter's own safety concerns, he refused the offer and insisted on sitting courtside.
This led to arena officials denying him entry to the sold-out event.
Kanter later posted a video showing police removing him, claiming he was excluded for supporting women. However, fans reacted with criticism, accusing him of seeking attention and attempting to disrupt the game.
Additionally, outgoing Commissioner Cathy Engelbert has informed Kanter that he is ineligible for the 2027 WNBA Draft, regardless of his interpretation of the league's collective bargaining agreement.
