Chiney Ogwumike has identified Angel Reese as her current WNBA Finals MVP choice, noting the Atlanta Dream forward is averaging over 21 points and 13 rebounds through the first three games. Reese, who previously secured Defensive Player of the Year honors, has helped her team establish a 2-1 series lead against the Golden State Valkyries.
Ogwumike highlighted that Reese successfully overhauled her shooting mechanics mid-season with the help of Karl Smesko. This adjustment has proven vital, as the Dream remain undefeated when Reese connects on a three-pointer.
Entering Saturday's Game 4, the 24-year-old also holds the distinction of being the first player in league history to post a double-double in each of her opening three Finals appearances.
