Who can compete as a gravel pro in Unbound? Organisers of Life Time Grand Prix establish new 'Pro Number' qualification process

Life Time is introducing a mandatory LT Pro Number for participants entering the professional divisions of its endurance cycling events, including the Unbound Gravel 200. This vetting system aims to improve safety and professional standards by ensuring that front-of-pack riders possess the necessary experience to handle high-speed, dense race starts.

Athletes can qualify for this status through previous performance in Life Time series, national championships, or world-level competitions, with a selection committee reviewing additional credentials. While this number is required for elite categories, it is not necessary for open-participation qualifier races like the Sea Otter Classic Gravel 60 or the Lutsen 99er.

Riders must still register or enter lotteries separately, as the new designation serves only as a prerequisite for professional entry.
