French para-cyclist Thomas Peyroton-Dartet has been hit with a provisional suspension following a positive test for EPO. The 41-year-old provided the sample on September 5, 2026, during the UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships, just two days before securing a gold medal in the C3 road race.
The International Testing Agency is managing the case, noting that the rider retains the right to challenge the findings through a B-sample analysis. Peyroton-Dartet, who began para-cycling in 2021 after a vehicle collision, previously earned Paralympic gold in the 2024 Paris time trial and silver in the C1-3 road race.
His career also includes European championship titles and a silver medal at the 2025 World Championships.
