He played epic match against Tiger Woods - but has never watched it back

Trip Kuehne recently reflected on his 1994 U.S. Amateur final against Tiger Woods, a match he has never revisited on video.

Despite building an early six-hole lead at TPC Sawgrass, Kuehne ultimately fell to the future legend. He attributes his loss to a mid-match nap in the locker room, a tactical error regarding club selection alongside his father, and a poor layup on the ninth hole.

Although their careers diverged after that tournament, the two shared a history that included Woods caddying for Kuehne during his amateur days. Kuehne later enjoyed a successful amateur career, including three Walker Cup appearances and a 2008 Masters invitation following his 2007 U.S.

Mid-Amateur victory.
