Where else could the 49ers add after trading for DeForest Buckner?

The San Francisco franchise secured a reunion ahead of the deadline by acquiring DeForest Buckner from the Indianapolis Colts for a 2027 fourth-round draft pick. The thirty-two-year-old defender brings four sacks and thirty-one tackles to support Osa Odighizuwa along the defensive line.

San Francisco now evaluates further roster improvements, targeting edge rushers, cornerback depth, and wide receiver options. Edge targets include Maxx Crosby and Khalil Mack, while defensive coordinator Raheem Morris manages the current squad without Nick Bosa.
