Magnus Norman is slated to join the coaching staff of world number one Jannik Sinner for the 2027 season, replacing the retiring Darren Cahill. This transition follows a long history of success for Norman, who previously guided Thomas Johansson, Robin Soderling, and Stan Wawrinka to significant career milestones, including three Grand Slam titles for Wawrinka.
Norman’s high opinion of Sinner dates back to a 2024 practice session in Beijing. While preparing Wawrinka for a tournament, the coach observed that Sinner’s court coverage and pace were so exceptional that he and Wawrinka found themselves laughing in disbelief while struggling to win points against the Italian during their training match.
