What is the highest successful chase in T20Is?

West Indies scripted history in Ranchi by achieving the second-highest successful run chase in T20 International cricket. The team overhauled a target of 252 runs against India, with captain Shai Hope leading the charge with an unbeaten century (102 off 45 balls) and Sherfane Rutherford contributing an 84-ball 84.

This marked the highest successful chase in a T20I played in India, surpassing England’s previous record of 230 runs against South Africa in 2016. The only higher chase in T20I history remains South Africa’s 259-run victory over West Indies in Centurion during 2023, a target that had stood unmatched until now.

The West Indies’ effort also broke the previous highest successful chase in India, which was Australia’s 223-run win over India in Guwahati the prior year.
