Weekly Stat Review: Post Week 3 edition

Following a narrow three-point defeat in Cleveland, the Carolina Panthers find themselves slipping in the most vital category of all: victories. A review of advanced metrics from their Week 3 matchup highlights struggles in maintaining offensive momentum, highlighted by a 9.5 percent explosive play rate and a third-down conversion rate of 26.7 percent.

Defensively, the squad utilized zone coverage on 80 percent of snaps this season while allowing a 33.3 percent conversion rate on third downs during the recent contest. Additionally, discipline remains an issue, with the club averaging nine penalties per game to rank among the most penalized teams in the league.
