Braves vs. Dodgers live updates, starting pitchers, where to watch: Tarik Skubal opens LA's three-peat attempt in NLDS Game 1

The Los Angeles Dodgers begin their pursuit of a third consecutive title on Friday by hosting the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 of the NLDS at Dodger Stadium. Los Angeles manager on the mound will be trade acquisition Tarik Skubal following a hundred-win regular season, though the team still faces uncertainty regarding Shohei Ohtani after his recent stint on the injured list.

Meanwhile, Atlanta advances to the series after defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in a hard-fought wild-card round that concluded with a decisive Game 3 victory driven by long balls from Michael Harris II, Ozzie Albies, and Matt Olson. Due to utilizing six different arms to secure that previous win, the Braves will deploy a bullpen game for the opening matchup against the Dodgers.
