Watch: Smriti Mandhana snubs handshake with Harmanpreet Kaur, rift rumours resurface

Fresh rumors of friction have emerged after an online clip from the recent T20 international series finale showed India's newly appointed captain avoiding a handshake with her predecessor during victory celebrations. The incident follows a recent leadership transition where the Board of Control for Cricket in India installed the star opening batter at the helm across all formats.

Meanwhile, the former skipper put on a dominant batting display, smashing an unbeaten ninety-one runs off forty--one deliveries to secure a comprehensive ninety-two run victory and a series sweep against Zimbabwe.

Following the match, the veteran player remarked that she feels relieved of captaincy pressures and is now able to focus purely on enjoying her time at the crease. The victorious squad wrapped up the three-match bilateral contest with a three-nil scoreline following the final fixture hosted at the venue.
