The Minnesota Vikings continued their push to bolster their veteran wide receiver depth this offseason, inviting three experienced players to a workout in the Twin Cities on Monday. Juju Smith-Schuster, a ten-year NFL veteran with career totals of 481 receptions, 5,624 yards, and 33 touchdowns, joined the session after being released by the New York Giants earlier this year.
Smith-Schuster’s NFL journey includes stints with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and New England Patriots, most recently returning to Kansas City for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The Vikings also worked out D’Wayne Eskridge, a second-round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in 2021 whose career has been marked by injuries and suspensions, and Dayton Wade, an undrafted free agent who spent time on the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad without appearing in a game.
The team also evaluated former sixth-round pick Cam Miller, a quarterback signed off the Las Vegas Raiders’ practice squad by the Miami Dolphins before being waived this offseason, as the Vikings explore options for their practice squad following the trade of quarterback J.J. McCarthy and the departure of running back Audric Estime to the Cleveland Browns.
