USC football keeps 2026 season alive with elusive Big Ten road win

The 19th-ranked USC Trojans secured a significant 31-23 road victory against Penn State during Saturday night's White Out game. Quarterback Jayden Maiava led the offensive effort with three touchdown passes and 301 passing yards without a single interception, helping his team move to a 6-1 overall record and 3-1 in Big Ten conference play.

This performance allowed USC to overcome the hostile atmosphere at Beaver Stadium and earn a signature win under coach Lincoln Riley. The game also featured defensive strategy decisions from Penn State coach Matt Campbell and his defensive coordinator D'Anton Lynn, who struggled to contain the Trojans' passing attack throughout the contest.
