UFC Edmonton video: Joel Faglier outlasts, TKOs Javad Mahjoub in debut

Joel Faglier delivered a stunning debut performance at UFC Edmonton, overcoming a grappling-savvy opponent to secure a hard-fought victory. Facing former international judoka Javad Mahjoub—a fighter with a perfect 5-0 professional record—Faglier outlasted his opponent before landing a decisive second-round TKO with punches, stunning the heavyweight division crowd at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta.

The win marked a dramatic upset, as Mahjoub entered the bout as a slight underdog despite his imposing size and martial arts background. The fight took place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, as part of the UFC’s main card, which also featured a high-profile welterweight clash between Joaquin Buckley and Mike Malott.
