As UCF prepares to host its initial Big 12 home contest, defensive coordinator Alex Grinch faces the challenge of plotting against the upcoming season debut of opposing wide receiver Jordan Dwyer. Dwyer spent nine months recovering from a foot injury sustained last December against USC, missing the first three non-conference fixtures of the campaign while still coming off a prior year that featured fifty-four receptions, seven touchdowns, and seven hundred thirty yards.
Grinch noted the difficulty of preparing for an athlete whose absence forced scheme adjustments by his opponents, while also praising quarterback Jaden Craig and his seventy percent completion rate. Craig has accumulated nine03 yards and seven touchdowns through the air thus far.
Meanwhile, the Knights look to build upon a pass defense that recently overcame a twenty-four-point deficit against Georgia State, fueled by interceptions from Demari Henderson, Jayden Williams, and Tackett Curtis.
