Loyal flanker Tom Curry has committed his future to Sale Sharks by signing a fresh two-year contract extension that runs until the termination of the 2027-28 campaign. The lifelong supporter, who debuted for the Premiership outfit at age 18 in October 2016, overcame major hip surgery following a 2024 diagnosis of femoroacetabular impingement syndrome to return to top-tier competition.
Director of rugby Alex Sanderson praised the 71-cap international as a foundational pillar for the roster, noting that physical readiness guided the timeline of the new agreement.
Alongside the contract news, teammate Courtney Lawes recently shared perspectives regarding national team selection rules for athletes competing abroad, a policy also addressed by Toulouse flanker Jack Willis and Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter. Lawes recently made his Premiership debut for Sale following a home loss against Bristol.
Meanwhile, Curry expressed enthusiasm about remaining with the organization he has backed since childhood as he aims to sustain his high-level form.
