The slick tyre gamble that hurt McLaren and Ferrari's chances in Bahrain GP in Malaysia

Following a delay lasting one hour and thirty-three minutes, the Bahrain Grand Prix at the Sepang circuit finally commenced. During the initial laps, intermediate tyres proved to be the correct choice despite the track appearing to dry out.

Both Ferrari and McLaren decided to gamble on dry compounds for the restart at the front of the grid, with Ferrari selecting soft tyres.
