The seven players who beat Roger Federer in Basel despite him being a record 10-time champion

Roger Federer holds the record for the most Swiss Indoors titles with ten victories across his nineteen appearances. Despite this dominance at his home tournament, seven different opponents managed to defeat him during his career in Basel.

His initial loss occurred during his 1998 debut against Andre Agassi, followed by defeats to Tim Henman in 1999 and 2001, Thomas Enqvist in 2000, David Nalbandian in 2002, and Ivan Ljubicic in 2003.

Following his first title win in 2006, Federer maintained a long period of success at the event. During his subsequent championship run, only two players successfully overcame him: Novak Djokovic in the 2009 final and Juan Martin del Potro, who defeated him in the championship matches of both 2012 and 2013.
