Texas Tech Defense Buries Colorado With Four Interceptions

The No. 12 Texas Tech Red Raiders pushed their record to 5-0 with a 29-7 road win over Colorado, relying on a dominant defensive performance featuring four interceptions.

Despite trailing at halftime following an early touchdown pass from Isaac Wilson to Joseph Williams, Texas Tech capitalized on turnovers to score 19 points. Brice Pollock intercepted two passes, Malik Esquerra added another, and John Curry sealed the victory by returning a fourth-quarter pick for a touchdown.

Head coach Joey McGuire secured his 40th win in 58 games, making him the fastest coach in program history to reach that milestone. Quarterback Will Hammond eventually sparked the offense with a touchdown pass to Terrance Carter Jr., and Quinten Joyner added a 30-yard scoring run to secure the victory.
