Texas' Steve Sarkisian wants SEC to review onside kick by Tennessee football

Following a recent late September matchup, Texas leader Steve Sarkisian announced plans to request an official evaluation from the conference regarding a controversial special teams play. During the closing moments of the contest, Tennessee utilized an unusual drop kick tactic during an onside recovery attempt, which briefly resulted in a penalty flag before the officiating crew reversed the call after consultation.

Although the unusual technique successfully secured the possession, the team ultimately fell short and absorbed their initial defeat of the season.
