Texas 2027 Class Breakdown: Longhorns chasing another top-five class

Steve Sarkisian is guiding the Longhorns through another strong recruiting cycle, currently holding the sixth spot nationally and second in the SEC with twenty-two commitments. The summer months proved especially fruitful, highlighted by a major recruiting triumph when the program secured a commitment from elite cornerback John Meredith over rival Texas A&M, alongside a pledge from top-ranked interior offensive lineman Ismael Camara.

Although Meredith has since opted to reclassify and arrive early, top wide receiver Easton Royal remains pledged to the program despite lingering attention from competing universities like LSU and Florida.
