Why Mercedes' Bahrain GP upgrade is still a "big question mark"

Mercedes has rolled out a major aerodynamic upgrade across both of its Formula 1 cars for the Bahrain Grand Prix. Because the team equipped both vehicles with the new parts simultaneously, engineers cannot easily evaluate the performance delta using direct side-by-side comparisons against the previous specification.

This evaluation hurdle is amplified by the fact that the championship has not raced at this particular venue since 2017.
