'Shaabash mundeyo!' - Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina congratulate Team India after Asian Games gold

Former Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina offered public praise following the men's cricket team securing the gold medal at the Asian Games 2026. India triumphed over Pakistan by nineteen runs in the title match on Saturday, October 3, to defend their championship.

This victory followed the women's squad claiming gold earlier by defeating Sri Lanka by one hundred forty-seven runs. Opting to bat first, India posted a total of 211 for six, bolstered by strong batting performances from Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and others.

Despite a near-century knock from Pakistan's Hasan Nawaz, Indian bowlers Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, and Shivam Dube successfully restricted the chase.
