Team India spin bowling coach hails Virat Kohli, reveals what makes him different from the rest

Ahead of the second fixture against the West Indies at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati, India spin bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule highlighted the relentless drive of veteran batsman Virat Kohli. Following a dominant eight-wicket victory that secured a one-nil series advantage, where Kohli struck a magnificent 139 alongside Shubman Gill, Bahutule commended his unmatched commitment to continuous improvement and physical conditioning.

The coach additionally expressed confidence in Rohit Sharma, noting that both senior players provide invaluable guidance to younger squad members.

Addressing preparations for future conditions, Bahutule discussed the challenge of emulating South African tracks within India. Although exact replication remains impossible, he pointed to the bouncy, responsive surface previously encountered in Thiruvananthapuram as an indicator of the type of sporting pitches authorities aim to prepare.
