Suzann Pettersen, a two-time major champion and Solheim Cup legend, is returning to competitive golf after a long hiatus, opening with an even-par 72 at the Aramco Korea Championship on the Ladies European Tour. The 45-year-old, who famously sealed Europe’s victory in the 2019 Solheim Cup with a clutch 18th-hole putt, now aims to play part-time, targeting around five or six events annually.
Pettersen, who last competed in 2022, has since transitioned into a leadership role as founder of Voxa Sports Agency, representing top LPGA players like Carlota Ciganda and Ruoning Yin. Though she won 15 LPGA titles—including two majors—the 2026 comeback marks her first full tournament since maternity leave, where she played just two events in 18 months before her historic Solheim Cup return.
Now based in Norway, Pettersen is eyeing a blend of competitive play and her agency work, with no intention of returning full-time. Her return to the New Korea Country Club, site of last year’s Hanwha LifePlus International Crown, signals a deliberate step back into the game she still deeply loves.
