
Freya Kemp has agreed to a multi-year agreement with Surrey starting in the 2027 season, departing from Hampshire. The twenty-one-year-old left-arm pace bowler has represented England across forty-nine international appearances, accumulating 585 runs through 36 innings alongside 36 total wickets in both formats.
During the 2026 Women's T20 World Cup campaign, she maintained a batting strike rate of 157.89 with an average of 45, while also recording the squad's top bowling figures of 4-22 against Sri Lanka in the tournament opener.
Reflecting on the switch, Kemp praised Surrey as a massive organization boasting an incredible roster. She expressed appreciation for Hampshire supporting her athletic progression while noting that the chance to represent Surrey and relocate nearer to her residence proved decisive.
