The Pittsburgh Steelers have traded cornerback Joey Porter Jr. to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a 2027 sixth-round pick and a 2028 second-round choice. General manager Omar Khan and the franchise parted ways with the defender after talks regarding a contract extension stalled ahead of the regular season.
Porter entered the final year of his rookie contract following his selection as the 32nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. During his three-year career in Pittsburgh, the defensive back accumulated 165 combined tackles, three interceptions, and 31 passes defended across multiple productive seasons.
