Stars 6, Islanders 3: Defensive leaks catch up

The Dallas squad secured a 6-3 victory over the visiting club after pulling away during the final period. Wyatt Johnston and Jason Robertson scored in quick succession early in the third, overcoming multiple tied scores achieved by Matthew Schaefer, Kyle Palmieri, and Brayden Schenn.

Defensive lapses plagued the losing side throughout the contest, allowing opponents to capitalize on odd-man rushes, breakaways, and loose pucks.
