J.J. McCarthy’s redemption arc is bad news for the Vikings

J.J. McCarthy engineered a strong performance for the Giants in Houston, completing twenty of twenty-eight passes for 272 yards and no interceptions to secure a notable victory.

Through his first two appearances since changing teams, the third-year quarterback has accumulated 515 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception, while successfully connecting with Malik Nabers for 111 yards on seven catches. This resurgence presents an awkward contrast for Minnesota, where Justin Jefferson has struggled to surpass 100 receiving yards in any contest this season under Kyler Murray, casting uncertainty on the long-term outlook for head coach Kevin O’Connell despite a six and zero record.
