South Africa announces squad for Newlands Test, injured Anrich Nortje ruled out of series decider

South Africa will be without fast bowler Anrich Nortje for the upcoming series finale against Australia. Nortje sustained a groin injury during the previous match in Gqeberha, forcing him to exit the field after bowling just 3.3 overs.

The hosts secured a dominant victory in that encounter, winning by an innings and 31 runs. To address the vacancy in their bowling lineup, the team is considering candidates including Corbin Bosch, Gerald Coetzee, and Dane Paterson.

The final Test is scheduled to commence on October 27. The squad remains largely unchanged, with Temba Bavuma continuing as captain alongside teammates such as Aiden Markram, Kagiso Rabada, and Marco Jansen.
