SMU Wins Ugly Despite Offense Stalling In Rain Against Boston College

Despite struggling offensively in soggy conditions at Gerald J. Ford Stadium, SMU managed a 25-16 victory over Boston College on Saturday afternoon.

Kevin Jennings accounted for four total touchdowns, throwing two scores and running for another, while Kendrick Raphael added a rushing touchdown to help the Mustangs overcome a modest offensive output of 218 total yards. Boston College outgained their opponents and held a significant time of possession advantage, but numerous penalties and a scoreless middle two quarters derailed their efforts as SMU relied on solid defense and error-free play to secure the nine-point win.
