A second-quarter scuffle involving De'Aaron Fox throwing Chet Holmgren to the ground resulted in a flagrant foul for Fox and technicals for Victor Wembanyama, Jalen Williams, Jaylin Williams, and Kenrich Williams.
Following the fight, Oklahoma City went on a 22-3 run to lead by 26 points, eventually taking a 21-point lead into halftime. Victor Wembanyama struggled offensively, finishing with 12 points and 13 rebounds on a single made field goal, though he did record three blocks in the first half.
Rookie Aday Mara contributed with a block on Wembanyama and a lob finish. Gilgeous-Alexander noted after the game that while the win was a positive step, it is only one of 82 games.
