Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's historic streak of 20-point games is over

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander saw his remarkable sequence of reaching at least twenty points in consecutive regular-season matchups halt at one hundred forty-one games during a recent contest. Despite struggling from the field with a six-for-nineteen shooting night, the guard still contributed seventeen points as his squad secured a ninety-six to eighty-four victory against the Denver Nuggets on their home floor.

Head coach Mark Daigneault noted that the star playmaker deliberately chose to conclude the historic run late in the fourth quarter. Meanwhile, teammate Jalen Williams led the scoring effort with twenty-one points, and Chet Holmgren added twelve points alongside seventeen rebounds to help overcome the tough offensive performance in the home opener.
