Sarandeep Singh defends CAC process after DDCA joint secretary questions selector, U-19 coach appointments

Delhi and District Cricket Association Cricket Advisory Committee leader Sarandeep Singh has strongly defended the panel's selection methods following formal objections raised by joint secretary Amit Grover. Grover had questioned the qualifications of newly appointed selection panel member Manu Nayyar and Under-19 assistant coach Varun Sood, while also querying the logic of retaining certain returning staff members following a disappointing domestic campaign.

In a September 2026 email communication, Singh firmly maintained that all decisions were made independently and fairly with Delhi cricket's best interests prioritized. He also cautioned that attempts by elected officials to challenge or sway the committee's independent evaluations could amount to improper interference.
