Sanju Samson praises Naman Dhir's composure in India's record T20I chase against New Zealand

India secured a four-wicket win over New Zealand in the opening T20I at Hagley Oval, chasing down 226 runs with two balls left. This achievement marked India's highest ever successful run chase in the T20I format, breaking a record that had been in place since 2009 when they pursued 206 against Sri Lanka in Mohali.

Sanju Samson, who contributed 67 runs off 33 balls including eight fours and four sixes, praised Naman Dhir's poise under pressure. Dhir, who has played only four or five international matches, finished the game unbeaten with 42 runs from 15 deliveries, hitting five fours and two sixes at a 280 strike rate.
