India will be without wicket-keeper Ishan Kishan for the second fixture of their ongoing Twenty20 International series against New Zealand. The left-hander suffered a minor groin issue during the opening game held at Hagley Oval and will sit out the upcoming contest as medical staff monitor his rehabilitation.
During the series opener, support staff opted to promote Tilak Varma up the batting order following the injury, while young talent Vaibhav Sooryavanshi remains a prime candidate to step into the squad as a replacement.
