San Diego State will host Washington State this Saturday at 4 p.m. Pacific time on The CW.
The Aztecs, currently 3-5 overall and 2-2 in the Pac-12, are 2.5-point favorites with a -138 moneyline and an over-under of 48.5 points. Redshirt freshman Stone Saunders, who threw for 369 yards and three touchdowns in his first start, will lead the offense.
Coach Sean Lewis confirmed Saunders' role as the starter, while senior Jayden Denegal remains sidelined with an ankle injury.
Washington State enters the matchup with a 1-7 record and no conference wins. The Cougars have lost five consecutive games and trail the series 3-1 in favor of Washington State, including a 36-13 victory last year and a 29-26 win in 2024.
San Diego State's path to bowl eligibility requires winning three of their final four games, which includes upcoming matchups against Utah State and No. 20 Boise State, followed by a road game against a TBD opponent.
