Cadillac announced a fresh agreement that will keep Mexican driver Sergio Perez with the squad through at least the 2029 season, signing the deal just ahead of his 300th Formula 1 start on home soil in Mexico. Perez, who joined the team for its debut campaign last year, said he is fully committed to the next three years as the outfit continues its development journey.
The team has yet to record a championship point, with Perez’s highest finish to date being 14th and his current teammate Valtteri Bottas’s best result a 13th place. CEO Dan Towriss highlighted that securing Perez’s talent provides the continuity needed to build on the progress made in the inaugural year.
