Jacksonville State vs. New Mexico State CFB picks: Running games likely to determine important CUSA matchup

Jacksonville State and New Mexico State face off tonight in a pivotal Conference USA matchup with significant postseason implications. The Gamecocks enter the contest riding a four-game winning streak, though their recent victories have been narrow, including a recent three-point win over Florida International where quarterback Caden Creel led a decisive final drive.

Kicker Garrison Rippa remains a key figure for Jacksonville State, as he sits just two field goals away from setting a new school record. With Liberty currently leading the conference standings, both teams are fighting to maintain their positions in the race for the league championship game.

The Aggies, who are looking to return to the title game for the second time in program history, currently trail the Gamecocks by one game in the conference standings.
