Ryan Weathers could play ‘massive role’ out of bullpen for Yankees in ALDS

New York Yankees pitcher Ryan Weathers could be in line for a significant relief role in the upcoming ALDS after skipping a wild-card series bullpen appearance to build up his arm following a left forearm flexor strain. Manager Aaron Boone indicated the left-hander might take on heavy work from the bullpen as the team evaluates its pitching options.

The squad recently experienced a travel delay due to an aircraft hydraulics issue while heading to Tropicana Field.
